Project: Monticello

User-Aware Virtual Human

This interactive VR experience places the user in the historic building Monticello to explore and speak to Thomas Jefferson. The user can have verbal conversations with Jefferson regarding his life and historic events.

Our challenge was to bring alive Jefferson, who is capable to react to the user's presence and his own surroundings.

'Just Scan Me Into VR'

The demo showcases some of the latest research technologies and production prototypes including Natural-Language speech recognition/processing, Rapid body-scanning-ware and Unity-based locomotion system.

These technologies show glimpses of a future where our avatars can look, talk, and walk like ourselves - shared across the virtual world.
